ON EAGLES WINGS

Imagine:

You are standing on a High Cliff above a deep Green Valley.

You feel the wind on your face as Snow-White puffy clouds float past on Blue Sky that has no End.

You stretch out your Arms and let the Breeze fill Golden Feathers on White-tipped wings.

Yes Wings: for you are an Eagle,

FREE and Flying high on Majestic wings,

FREE to Soar and Glide and Dive on Unseen air,

FREE to view the world from above and Rule the Skys.

YOU are not bound to Earth and Ground, but can return at will to Rest and Feed.

And then, You catch a Rising current of Sun-warmed air,

And with it Climb above the Cloud to cool Blue Sky.

FREE to Soar above the World on EAGLES WINGS.

So Who can Learn to Fly?

Learning to fly is great fun, and can be done at any age from 14 to 84!

In fact, here in Canada (and in many countries including the US) you can get your pilot's licence and fly solo before you're old enough to drive a car!!

Not only is flying FUN, but it's safer than learning to drive! If you take into account the cost of car insurance for a new driver for the first 5 years, learning to fly is 'CHEAPER'.

Fly for FREE! That's right: FREE!

Here in Canada young people can get their pilots licence for FREE-- Ask me how just email me for more details. And some of those lucky, hardworking, dreamers will go on to become members of Canada's ellite flying team, our world famous Snowbirds. If you need some inspiration, watch the following video. And Dream!

The Best of the Canadian Snowbirds Aerobatic Demonstration Team

So What does it Take to learn to Fly?

That's the question I was waiting for!

  1. First requirement that I ask of all my students: they must be willing to dream -- and to work hard to fulfill those dreams.
  2. Pilots are professional, who must always study to improve their skills and excell on a daily basis -- so you must be willing to learn.
  3. The subjects covered in Grounds school (yes school --I said you had to learn) include:
  • Aerodynamics and Theory of Flight (not as hard as it sounds)
  • Navigation (you have to be able to find your way home)
  • Meteorology and Weather charts and Forcasts
  • AeroEngines (can't fly without them)
  • Air Law and Air Traffic porcedures
  • General Airmanship and Pilot Decision Making And Safety

It sounds like alot, and that's even before you get into the airplane, but taken one lesson at time, any one can succeed with hard work and determination. Actually, the Ground school and flight instruction are usually taken simultaneously, so after you study a set of lessons, you are rewarded with the fun part: Flying, soaring thru the clear blue yonder!

Well, since it's impossible to put all the information needed on this one blog, for those who want to learn more and experience an introductory lesson, visit my web site at: http://oneagleswingsinc.web.officelive.com/

There you will find more inspiration and the first of many lessons. If you want more, just leave your contact information. I wil be adding to the site weekly, as I edit each lesson. So Come Fly with me!

In the meantime, Dream on!

What a great hub full of passion. That's really the first ingredient I would want to see present in any potential pilot. You've got to be that person who's always looking up in the sky at the first sound of an aircraft. That's me and always has been. Great job!
